Language audit
• i.e. mapping of candidates’ current language competences
• serves to check, evaluate and classify candidates according to the scale of the Common European Reference Framework, or according to the specific requirements of the contracting authority
• it should be carried out unconditionally before the start of language teaching
• consists of a written part, i.e. completing the test
• and from the oral part, i.e. interview, in which emphasis is placed not only on grammatical accuracy, but also on the communicative value of the language that the testee is able to produce. Several other criteria are also evaluated: fluency of speech, range of vocabulary, pronunciation and overall intelligibility of the utterance.
